FASHION IN EASTLANDS

Did you know that the ladies from Eastlands are usually the best dressed in town? This is so true. The ladies have perfect fashion prefences and it is so difficult to find them doing it wrongly. When they are dressed up like this it is difficult to guess their backgrounds. These are just but samples...

CHILDREN AND FASHION

Wake up peeps... this is the 21st Century. So your children too can set trends in fashion and be considered as fashionistas. Some people may say that the kids such as in  the photos below are dressed maturely but that is not my take. My take is these kids did it perfectly well. It's high time parents emulate this. Kudos to their parents. I would dress my kids this way any day. Are they not fashionable?

GENTLEMEN

Who said that this blog is only for the female species? And who said that men cannot set and follow trends too? Dressing up really improves one's confidence. First impression is also an important element in meeting new people. Besides, don't we meet new people each and every minute unless you reside in a cave :O. Gentlemen, let's not be scared of setting trends too. We too can do this :)

One can start trendsetting even while still a kid.

DRESSING UP FOR THE CURRENTLY HOT NAIROBIAN WEATHER

To appreciate fashion, one needs to go with the weather flow... At times it is so difficult to predict how a day's weather is going to be. Am also a victim of such circumstance, lol!!! So you only need to asses the current weather trend. There are usually six suns in Nairobian daytime nowadays and so it is truly important to know what to wear. I would suggest summer dresses and skirts for the ladies and vests for both sexes. One would still appear trendy, confident while still being comfortable.

These fashionistas rocking it ;-)

MODESTY VS. FLOOZY

Many people confuse dressing up with dressing in a hussy way... I am not against women who show off skin, but it is important to know the kind of outfit that suits you. This is my take, it is alright for toned ladies to show off extra skin unlike ladies who are a bit weighty. So it is important to know what kind of wear fits you correctly and wouldn't end up embarrassing you one way or the other. Here is an example of ladies who do it correctly.

SIMPLICITY

Fashion is all about simplicity. You don't need to be rich to be fashionable. I go against the old adage that 'the only way to remain broke is to follow fashion.' Fashion is not about following trends but making them. Others follow the already made trends but end up committing 'fashion suicide'. Others follow the so called 'set trends' and do it perfectly fine. For instance the lady's cropped top; some ladies adorn it well while others wrongly but since this is a fashion blog, we will only focus on the good ones.

AFRICAN PRINT

African print is taking over in fashion world. It all depends with the designer and the one wearing it. And this lady did it just fine :)

Even international celebrities have gone to the extent of wearing it. Africa is truly taking over, says 'Bey'.
